The picture finds River wearing a pink onesie, matching polka dot sunglasses, a colorful bib and munching on her right thumb.
"Watch out Lady Gaga!! River Rose is on the scene!!" the singer captioned the photo.
Clarkson's message made its way to Gaga herself later that day, who in turn tweeted her admiration for River's fashion sense.
"oh my miss River Rose is given' me a run for my money!!" Gaga replied. "Look at those shoulders, like Grace Jones! Can I borrow that bib?"
Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed River on June 12. The singer shared the first photo of her daughter on Twitter a week later and called her "the greatest thing on the planet".
River is the couple's first child together; Clarkson is also stepmother to Blackstock's son and daughter from his previous marriage.
