Katie Holmes is the new brand ambassador of Olay

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Katie Holmes has been named the new brand ambassador for skin care line Olay.

The former Dawson's Creek star filmed her first set of advertisements for the brand in New York City last week and recently opened up to People magazine about her decision to partner with the brand.

"It's an Ohio company, so it feels like home to be working with them," Holmes said. "They really mean something to women. I remember buying Olay in high school because I wanted to look pretty."

When asked what she does to "feel beautiful on the inside and outside," the 35-year-old actress said she exercises regularly, drinks a lot of water and uses the brand's Regenerist cream cleanser.

Holmes, who recently moved to LA to revamp her acting career, also endorses Alterna haircare.
