NEW YORK, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Joan Rivers' funeral was "exactly" the sort of Hollywood big bang she would have wanted, friend and fellow Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic said.
Rancic has worked with Rivers for the past 13 years, and attended the comedian's funeral Sunday at New York City's Temple Emanu-El.
"Joan said in her book that she would want lights, camera, action and people lined up outside and paparazzi, and she got it," Rancic told People. "It was exactly what she would have wanted."
"There were tears, there wasn't just laughter, there was roaring laughter, and there was such funny moments. We were hysterically laughing with tears streaming down our face. It was great, really beautiful, touching," she said of the funeral.
Rivers died Sept. 4 after being taken off life support. She went into a coma after complications arising from a routine throat procedure.
