JUPITER, Fla., Sept. 5 (UPI) -- As the fourth season of American Horror Story gets set to premiere in October, FX has released a trio of genuinely scary 10-15 second teasers for this year's series, Freak Show.
FX has released little details about the upcoming season's plot; only that it will take place at one of America's last remaining freak shows in 1952 and the story kicks off when the group arrives in Jupiter, Fla.
Jessica Lange will return to the anthology series as a bearded lady, after winning an Emmy for her work on last season's American Horror Story: Coven. Lange will be joined by Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, singer Patti LaBelle, Denis O'Hare, Michael Chikis and Wes Bentley.
While the first five teasers for American Horror Story: Freak Show established this season's mood and motif, the latest three go for genuine scares using killer clowns, fast cuts and implied violence.
American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres Oct. 8 on FX.
