SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Robin Williams' daughter Zelda Williams returned to Twitter earlier this week after quitting the social media site three weeks ago over "cruel and unnecessary" comments about her father's death.

Zelda's comeback post was a simple "Thank you" attached to a link leading to a quote by Harvey Fierstein on her Tumblr page.

"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself."

The 25-year-old actress was trolled off the social media site as well as image sharing site Instagram two days after Williams' death by users sending her digitally edited photos of her late father's corpse and blaming her for his death.

"I'm sorry. I should've risen above," Zelda wrote on her last post on August 13. "Deleting this from my devices for a good long time, maybe forever. Time will tell. Goodbye."

Zelda's Instagram account is currently private.

Williams was found dead with a belt around his neck in his California home on August 11 at the age of 63. A preliminary report indicated Williams likely died of suicide due to asphyxia.
