SYDNEY, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- While filming is well underway for season five of HBO's hit series Game of Thrones, the actors who portray Bran Stark and fan favorite Hodor are taking the year off.

"[Isaac Hempstead-Wright and I] have a season off and we have a year's hiatus, solely because I imagine [Bran and Hodor's] storyline is up to the end of the books," actor Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Nairn's character, somewhat of a human Pokémon only able to utter his own name, is tasked with protecting Bran stark, the son of long-dead original Game of Thrones protagonist Ned Stark. The last time Game of Thrones fans saw the pair, Bran and Hodor had finally met the three-eyed raven Bran had been having visions about since the show's first season.

With a year off from carrying children on his back, fighting CGI ice demons and memorizing dialogue, the 7-foot tall Nairn plans to focus on his burgeoning DJ career, where he throws Westeros-themed raves around Australia.

"It's a dress-up party and everyone comes together with the one interest ... So, I get my year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world."

HBO has not confirmed Nairn's statements.
