LONDON, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- London police raided the home of Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson on Thursday after a passerby spotted a machine gun inside.

The deactivated M16 assault rifle was given to Taylor-Johnson as part of an art project called Peace One Day M16 for the international charity Peace One Day.

She wasn't at home at the time the Metropolitan Police's firearms unit made entry into her house.

"The project, curated by Jake Chapman, consists of new works by some of the most celebrated names in contemporary art all of whom are transforming fully decommissioned M16 assault rifles," said a spokeswoman for the director.

No arrests were made.
