Ariana Grande, Big Sean spotted holding hands at 2014 VMAs

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Ariana Grande and Big Sean confirmed their relationship over the weekend.

The 21-year-old singer and 26-year-old rapper were spotted holding hands backstage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. The MTV dressing room hallway cam caught the PDA just moments after Grande's performance of "Bang Bang" with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J.

Relationship rumors have been swirling about Grande and Big Sean in the past month, but the VMAs marks their first public display of affection. The pair collaborated on and released "Best Mistake," the new single from Grande's new album My Everything, on August 11.

Grande and boyfriend Jai Brooks broke up for a second time in July, and Big Sean and Glee star Naya Rivera called off their engagement in April. Grande released My Everything on August 22, while Big Sean last released Hall of Fame in 2013.
