Amber Rose channels Rose McGowan in string dress at MTV VMAs

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- American model Amber Rose took a page out of Rose McGowan's book and attended Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards in a revealing string dress that left little to the imagination.

Rose's dress featured a series of chains linked to one another in all the important places. Unlike McGowan, who went commando while wearing her own version of the string dress to the awards show in 1998, Rose wore a sparkly G-string under her metallic ensemble.

Rose, who attended the event with husband husband Wiz Khalifa, complemented the look with silver sandals and earrings.

Katy Perry also channeled an old VMA look for Sunday's event and showed up in an all-denim getup reminiscent of Britney Spears circa 2001.
