TIBURON, Calif., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- News of Robin Williams' unexpected death on Monday has flooded the internet with mourning messages for the Hollywood star.
Everyone from his Mrs. Doubtfire co-star Mara Wilson to Mia Farrow to Anna Kendrick has taken to social media to extend their goodbyes to the beloved actor. Williams, 63, died Monday morning of an apparent "suicide due to asphyxia." The actor's publicist issued a statement later that day claiming the actor had been battling "severe depression" for a while and asking the public for privacy at this difficult time.
Williams is survived by his third wife Susan Schneider and his three children, Zachary Pym, 31, Zelda Rae, 25, and Cody Alan, 22.
Here are a few of the messages honoring the actor on Twitter.
Very sad, very upset, very glad I did not have to hear about this though Twitter. Probably going to be taking some time off it for a while.
