Miley Cyrus shows off new tattoos on Instagram

NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus decided to get some fresh ink in New York City in-between stops on her Bangerz tour Tuesday.

The 21-year-old singer visited tattoo artist Bang Bang while in the Big Apple and tattooed herself with the name of a Flaming Lips song and a tiny crescent moon. Cyrus shared snapshots of her new body art on her Instagram account later that day.

Bang got a matching tattoo of the moon that was inked by none other than Cyrus herself. He shared a photo of the singer's first inking under the caption: "I turned @mileycyrus Into a tattoo artist today."
