LOS ANGELES, July 14 (UPI) -- Chrissy Teigen says she was fired from a Forever 21 photo shoot for being too "fat."

The 28-year-old model, who graced the cover of this year's Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, recalled the incident in a recent interview with Du Jour magazine. The retailer reportedly fired her in the early years of her career.

"I showed up on set and they asked me if they could take a photo," she relates. "And they shoot that photo off to my agency, who then calls me as I'm sitting in the makeup chair, and they say, 'You need to leave right now. They just said that you are fat and you need to get your measurements taken.'"

"I hate you, Forever 21," she asserts. "I hate you so much. Honestly, you're the worst."

Teigen is now a successful model, and guest judges on the MTV cooking show Snack Off. She and musician John Legend have been married since September 2013.
