LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) -- Shia LaBeouf recently received a special gift from Liza Minnelli's rep.

Scott Gorenstein gifted the 28-year-old actor a DVD of Cabaret. Minnelli starred as Sally Bowles in the 1972 film, and LaBeouf was arrested during a Broadway performance of the musical last week.

"What can I say? I just had to," Gorenstein wrote on Facebook. "I figured he may want to find out how it ends," he added to E! News.

LaBeouf was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing after he caused a scene at Studio 54 on Thursday. He was very drunk, slapped patrons on the butt, used obscene language and lit a cigarette inside the theater. He attempted to evade arrest, and had to be put in a face mask at the police station after he started spitting.

The actor was held overnight and arraigned on Friday. He was released on his own recognizance, and is scheduled to appear in court July 24.
