LOS ANGELES, June 25 (UPI) -- Sarah Jessica Parker guest-starred on a number of Glee episodes last year, though she hasn't had a regular role in a television series since she played Carrie Bradshaw on HBO's Sex in the City.

But the 49-year-old's return to television might take place in an entirely different genre.

Parker is reportedly attached to play one of two leads in an adaptation of Busted: A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love, a non-fiction crime thriller written by investigative journalists Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker.

Ruderman and Laker, who uncovered wide-ranging police corruption scandal in Philadelphia, won a Pulitzer Prize for their series of Philadelphia Daily News articles on the subject in 2009.

True Detective producers Anonymous Content are also on board.
