NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., June 20 (UPI) -- Tracy Morgan was released from the hospital Friday.

The 45-year-old actor and comedian has been transferred to an undisclosed injury rehab center, where he will continue his recovery over the next few weeks.

"While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go," a representative says. "He and Megan wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him."

Morgan was upgraded to fair condition Monday, nine days after he was involved in a deadly car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. The collision left comedian James McNair dead, and Morgan and three others in intensive care. Comedian Ardie Fuqua remains in critical condition, while assistant Jeffrey Millea is now in fair condition.

Kevin Roper, the Walmart truck driver charged in the crash, which involved Morgan's limo-bus, two tractor-trailers, two cars and an SUV, pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide last week.
