Natalie Portman wows with white dress, lighter hair

SHANGHAI, June 20 (UPI) -- Natalie Portman recently debuted a new, lighter hairstyle.

The 33-year-old actress made an appearance at the Miss Dior exhibition opening in Shanghai on Thursday. She wore a simple, white Dior dress to the event, and styled her hair in loose waves around her face. Her dark brunette hair is now a light caramel color, just in time for summer.

The actress has been the face of the Miss Dior Cherie fragrance since 2010. The exhibition opening was her first red carpet appearance since her Thor tour last November, and Chinese superstar Zhang Ziyi was also at the event. Zhang stunned in a belted white dress with sheer embroidered overlay.

Portman will remain in China until June 22 to help close out the 2014 Shanghai International Film Festival. The actress is scheduled to appear in Knight of Cups and A Tale of Love and Darkness later this year, and will star in Jane Got a Gun in 2015.
