Mariah Carey introduces new 'melodic' non-alcoholic beverage, 'Butterfly'

"Butterfly" drinkers will have the option to download and log into the Go N’Syde Beverage app to enter Carey's new social network and connect with her, hence the "interactive" feature of the drink.

LOS ANGELES, June 16 (UPI) -- Mariah Carey introduced her latest product, a non-alcoholic "interactive" pink drink, while speaking at a press conference in New York City on Tuesday June 10.

"Butterfly" is described as "a melodic beverage inspired by the magic of Mariah Carey" that is supposed to be drank from a champagne flute.

"This is a whole 'nother thing," Carey said of the the beverage. "We can do this, and I will almost be in the room with you."

"Butterfly" drinkers will have the option to download and log into the Go N'Syde Beverage app to enter Carey's new social network and connect with her, hence the "interactive" feature of the drink.

The release of the beverage comes a couple of weeks after the "Hero" singer launched her fourteenth studio album, Me. I am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse on May 23.
