MENDHAM , N.J., June 5 (UPI) -- Whitney Houston's New Jersey home has been purchased by longtime fan Matthew Krauthamer for $1.5 million.

Real estate website Zillow reported Monday the 33-year-old emergency room physician finally took the singer's 13,607-square-foot home off the market. The property had been listed since 2009.

"The house in and of itself is absolutely stunning," Krauthamer said in an interview of Houston's 5-bed, 6-bath abode. "Wooded acres, gated property, two-floor poolhouse, two Jacuzzis. The house is really an incredible home."

Asked if he'd be making any changes to the property, which was built on 5 wooded acres in 1987, Krauthamer said he just planned on painting and adding a few new appliances.

Krauthamer has listed his own 18-room house nearby for $1.349 million as he gets ready to move into his new home. He said that filmmakers and fans have already contacted him about visiting the property, but added that he promised the singer's family he wouldn't exploit her fame.
