Kelly Rowland calls Beyonce, Michelle her soul mates

NEW YORK, June 2 (UPI) -- Kelly Rowland says former Destiny's Child members Beyonce and Michelle Williams are her soul mates.

The singer told Hello Beautiful she believes in soul mates, but doesn't think the label is just reserved for romantic relationships.

"I have soulmates through Beyonce and Michelle and Angie and Solange and LaLa," she said. "I'm so thankful for that too because I think they understand you. If there's something on my heart or my mind, before I can even pick up the phone, one of them is calling me saying, 'What are you doing? Are you ok?' We're connected and I think that's such a beautiful thing. It's the greatest gift you can have."

Rowland said she thinks that anyone could be a soul mate, but you have to work hard at the relationship.

"You don't just meet someone and everything they're interested in, you're interested in and it's happily ever after because people change, people progress and people evolve," she said. "Soul mate means that you work hard at the relationship to continue for that person to be looked at in a certain light and they do the same with you. You can have more than one soul mate. Your mom can be your soul mate, it doesn't matter."
