Scarlett Johansson makes Maxim's Hot 100, dislikes 'being an object of desire'

"I don't want to be the ingenue anymore. It's nice to be glamorous, but I don't want to always be an object of desire. Because it doesn't last," the actress told the WSJ in March.

NEW YORK, May 27 (UPI) -- Months after Scarlett Johansson said that she did not want to be "an object of desire," the 29-year-old actress has, once again, been named to Maxim's Hot 100 list.

Johansson, 29, came in second on this year's list in spite of the comments she made to The Wall Street Journal in March where she explained she didn't "want to be stuck" in the sex symbol role forever.

"I don't want to be the ingenue anymore. It's nice to be glamorous, but I don't want to always be an object of desire. Because it doesn't last," the actress, who is currently expecting her first child from fiance Romain Dauriac said at the time.

For Johansson, changing her image might be harder than she expects. The Lost In Translation star has had a spot in Maxim's Hot 100 list every year for the last nine years, she was named Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive in 2006 and Playboy's Sexiest Celebrity in 2007.

Johansson will next star in the action/sci-fi thriller Lucy, out on July 25.
