Ellie Goulding steps out with new haircut in London

News of the singer's haircut comes one day after McFly singer Dougie Poynter confirmed he was in a relationship with her.

LONDON, May 22 (UPI) -- British singer Ellie Goulding has cut her hair.

The 27-year-old "Lights" crooner first warned fans that she was chopping her long locks in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

"Saying goodbye to my long hair courtesy of that bloke on the back seat," she captioned a picture of herself in a car with two other people.

Goulding later posted a picture of her new do on Instagram.

News of the singer's haircut comes one day after McFly singer Dougie Poynter confirmed he was in a relationship with Goulding after months of speculation.
