NEW YORK, May 22 (UPI) -- NBC's Brian Williams will conduct the first-ever American television interview with NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, the network announced Thursday.

Snowden, who was granted temporary asylum by Russian authorities and now lives in Moscow, has previously spoken to Vanity Fair and appeared via Skype at South by Southwest last March.
