Drew Barrymore and her new daughter Frankie on the cover of People magazine

LOS ANGELES, May 21 (UPI) -- Drew Barrymore and her newborn daughter Frankie appear on the cover of the upcoming issue of People magazine along the headline, "Meet My New Baby Girl."

The 39-year-old star welcomed Frankie, her second daughter with husband Will Kopelman, on April 22. In her interview for the magazine, Barrymore said her recuperation this time around was a lot quicker than with her first pregnancy.

"I knew that I have two kids to take care of now and just kicked my own butt to get back into the swing of things immediately," said the actress, who also has 20-month-old daughter, Olive.

The Blended star went on to say that hardest part about having two children was "just being split."

"They're awake and asleep at different times, or awake at the same time, and it's a juggling act a little bit," she explained.

Barrymore also disclosed that she wasn't sure she wanted to get back to acting after her second child and added that working alongside Adam Sandler in Blended "was a big lesson" for her because he "makes everything really safe."

"He really creates an environment where kids can come and be a part of it," she added.

The June 2 issue of People magazine hits stands Friday.
