Zoe Saldana makes first public appearance with husband Marco Perego

NEW YORK, April 30 (UPI) -- Zoe Saldana attended AOL's NewFronts event with husband Marco Perego on Tuesday, marking the couple's first public appearance since tying the knot in June of 2013.

The Avatar star, 35, looked chic and springy in a white and blue dress as she walked the red carpet with Perego for the first time.

The couple attended the event to promote Saldana's work on My Hero, an AOL program where celebrities commemorate a person who changed their lives. Saldana served as an executive producer for the show.

Some of the celebrities involved in the project include Portia de Rossi, Nicole Richie, James Franco, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Saldana will next be seen in NBC's television reboot of Rosemary's Baby, where she stars as the main character. The four-hour miniseries will premiere on May 11.
