Officials told the Sun-Times that Harden's body was found near drug paraphernalia, leading police to suspect a drug overdose.

Harden is a well-known pioneer of footwork, a fast-paced dance style that originated from Chicago's house music scene.

He recently wrapped up a 2013 tour with Chance the Rapper, who took to Twitter on Saturday to remember his friend and colleague.

"Music lost a legend today. And he was my friend. Love you DJ Rashad. RIP," he wrote.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
