CARPINTERIA, Calif., April 23 (UPI) -- Sarah Gore married fiancé Patrick Maiani late last week in Carpinteria, California.
The 35-year-old artist is the youngest daughter of former Vice President Al Gore, and spoke to People magazine about the wedding Wednesday.
"It was such a happy day," Gore relates. "My husband Patrick and I chose the spot in Carpinteria because there is an enormous Torrey pine tree there, in a beautiful field next to a coffee shop and a bike shop."
"We loved the energy of the tree and what it represents for our marriage," she continues. "Strong roots and shade -- and warm drinks just steps away!"

"Patrick's family, and my mom, dad and sister, were able to make it into town," she reveals of their intimate wedding. "The ceremony was just perfect... it came together like magic."
Gore and Maiani, a pianist, met in June 2013 at a real-estate open house. The new wife says the pair have "been together ever since."
