LOS ANGELES, April 17 (UPI) -- The plot just thickened for Columbus Short's real-life scandal.
The 31-year-old actor, who plays Harrison Wright on the ABC drama, was hit with a restraining order on Tuesday.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted Wright's wife, Tanee, a temporary restraining order against Wright, claiming that he threatened to kill her and himself last week.
She also filed for divorce and for full custody of their 2-year-old daughter Ayala.
Short said in a statement that he would not comment on his personal life.
Short also faces felony battery charges stemming from a Los Angeles bar fight last month.
"As you all know, lately my personal life has been subjected to a lot of press. As much as I would like to provide my side of events, my counsel has instructed me that a Court of law is the only and proper venue to deal with such matters," he said. "Accordingly, I must refrain from making any comments even though that is very difficult for me under the circumstances. Thank you to my fans for your continued support during this difficult time.
