LOS ANGELES, April 17 (UPI) -- Glen Campbell, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease back in 2011, has moved to a care facility, his publicist confirmed to Country Weekly on Thursday.
The 77-year-old country music legend and TV entertainer, best known for songs like "Rhinestone Cowboy" and "Southern Nights," filmed a "Goodbye Tour" in 2012 so that his fans could hear him sing before his health deteriorated.
"He was moved to an Alzhemier's facility last week," a family friend told People. "I'm not sure what the permanent plan is for him yet. We'll know more next week." "I still love making music," Campbell said back in 2011. "And I still love performing for my fans. I'd like to thank them for sticking with me through thick and thin."
