LOS ANGELES, April 16 (UPI) -- Fargo, FX's well-received reimagining of the 1996 Coen brothers masterpiece, didn't blow anyone away with its Tuesday night premiere ratings. But it did get off to a respectable start.
The adaptation, starring Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Kate Walsh and Bob Odenkirk, pulled in 2.65 million viewers for is first episode. Two repeat airings brought its numbers up to 4.1 million.
Fargo also garnered 1 million viewers in the coveted 18-49 age demographic.
FX has labeled the show a "miniseries" in keeping with American Horror Story's successful format, meaning that it's story will wrap up in 10 episodes. If it performs well in the ratings, FX could order another season with a different storyline and characters.
