Miley Cyrus hospitalized for severe allergic reaction

The "Wrecking Ball" singer canceled her concert at Kansas City's Sprint Center.

KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 15 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus fans in Kansas City, Mo., will have wait a little longer to see the 21-year-old singer in action.

Cyrus canceled her Tuesday night concert at the Sprint Center after she was hospitalized for what her managers described as a "severe allergic reaction to antibiotics."

"Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors. She will not be able to perform as scheduled," the Sprint Center said in a statement.

Ticket-holders will be able to get their money back.

The "We Can't Stop" singer has felt ill in recent days.

"Why is this cough coming back #sorethroat #feelingnobueno," she tweeted Monday.

"Fever fever go away," she added.

Cyrus apologized to her fans for canceling her gig.

"I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel shittier than I already do," she tweeted, then added a photo of herself in the hospital.

Cyrus also canceled her show in Charlotte, N.C., earlier this month after coming down with the flu.
