LOS ANGELES, April 15 (UPI) -- Channing Tatum opened up about his upcoming film, Magic Mike XXL, after winning the Trail Blazer award at the MTV movie awards on Sunday.

"I think everyone's gonna be back, I think, and obviously nobody's deals are done," the 33-year-old actor said of the sequel to his 2012 hit movie starring Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer.

"We don't want to make it some serious slice-of-life movie," he added. "We want to have real, like reality in it, but we don't want to make like some dark drama. There was some darkness in the last movie and I think it surprised people and shocked people. This one, we want to have a lot of conflict and a lot of struggle, but we also want there to be a [expletive] ton of fun. A [expletive] ton of ridiculous stuff that you would never see in a movie, on the face of the earth, ever again."

Tatum went on to say that the Greg Jacobs-directed film will likely be a road trip movie. Asked about McConaughey's character in the film, Dallas, Tatum said that's the most "McConaughey that we've seen in a movie."

"Not just physically... It's just him," Tatum said. "He's not the stripper from Tampa, but it's just his personality. He such a believer. He's such an extraordinary. He believes in every single thing he does whole-heartedly.
