Taylor Swift makes surprise appearance at fan's bridal shower

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 14 (UPI) -- Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at fan Gena Gabrielle's bridal shower over the weekend.

The 24-year-old singer came bearing gifts Sunday to the shower in Columbus, Ohio. The star had first met Gabrielle at a 2007 meet-and-greet.

"I had no idea it was going to happen," Gabrielle tells Today. "[Taylor] said she planned it with her management and her mom. She said it was all worth it because my face was priceless."

The Red singer presented her fan with a red KitchenAid stand mixer and red Le Creuset cookware.

"I will never forget she did this for me," Gabrielle continues. "She is truly an incredibly, special person."
