Miley Cyrus gives back new puppy: 'It's too soon'

The "Wrecking Ball" singer said she still needs time to recover from the recent death of her dog Floyd.

LOS ANGELES, April 14 (UPI) -- Anyone who follows Miley Cyrus on Twitter knows that she's passionate about her dogs. When she lost one of them earlier this month, the 21-year-old singer grieved publicly, tweeting frequently about her feelings and even singing to a giant replica of her late pet in concert.

Cyrus' mother, Tish, gifted her a new puppy, but Miley has decided to give him away.

"Moonie, thank you for giving me so much love, comfort, & peace. It's just to soon for me right now," she tweeted Sunday.

Cyrus also that Moonie had gone to live with her friend's mom "who has a tiny pup 4 him 2 play with Molly."
