Jamie Lynn Spears shows off wedding ring at the ACM Awards

LAS VEGAS, April 7 (UPI) -- Jamie Lynn Spears showed off her wedding ring and new husband Jamie Watson at the Academy of Country Music awards on Sunday.

The awards ceremony was the couple's first red carpet appearance together since they became man and wife earlier this year. Spears and Watson had wed on March 14 after two years of dating.

The two Jamies looked happy as they smiled and posed for photos together on the red carpet. Jamie Lynn showed off her wedding ring -- a pavé diamond-encrusted band to complement her enormous diamond engagement ring.

The 23-year-old Spears has relaunched her country music career, and released her single, "How Could I Want More," at the end of last year. She plans to debut a full-length country album at some time in the near future.
