PHILADELPHIA, April 4 (UPI) -- Quinton Aaron, the 6-foot-8 actor who played Michael Oher in the 2009 film The Blind Side, was asked to get off a plane Friday because of his size.

The 29-year-old actor, who weighs 500 pounds, told TMZ that he usually buys two coach seats when he flies, but only one was available in the U.S. Airways flight he wanted to take from Philadelphia to Rochester.

Aaron explained that when the passenger that was supposed to sit next to him got on the plane, it became obvious that the two wouldn't be able to fit together. After discussing the situation with the flight attendant, the actor "was politely asked to leave."

He was eventually booked on a later flight where he could find the two seats he needed.

“I definitely need two seats," Aaron said. "It worked out for the better … my knees weren’t pushed into the back of the metal on someone else’s seat.”
