LOS ANGELES, April 4 (UPI) -- Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie has signed on to play Commander Lyme in the upcoming film, Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 2.
Christie will be replacing Lily Rabe in the role of the District 2 rebellion leader. Rabe had to drop out of the project because of a scheduling conflict with a production of “Much Ado about Nothing” she previously agreed to participate in.
Commander Lyme is a former Hunger Games victor from District 2 and one of the leaders of District 13.
Christie is best known for playing Brienne of Tarth, a gender bending warrior in the HBO fantasy drama based in George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels.
Mockingjay -- Part 2 is set to be released in November 20, 2015.
