Amanda Bynes rocks bikini during Mexican vacation

CABO SAN LUCAS , Mexico, April 4 (UPI) -- Amanda Bynes was spotted having fun under the Mexican sun as she enjoys her first vacation from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where she began classes in January.

According to TMZ, the recovering actress, who turned 28 on Thursday, took to Cabo San Lucas for spring break.

Bynes was spotted looking fit in a bright green bikini as she spent some time poolside. The trip was reportedly a gift from her parents, who also traveled with her as chaperones.

TMZ claims Bynes owes her toned figure to her rehab doctors, who reportedly encouraged her to work out daily as part of her new balanced way of living.

The actress' vacation comes a few days after her mother, Lynn, told People magazine that Bynes was "doing extremely well" following her rehab stint at a Malibu treatment facility last year.
