LOS ANGELES, April 3 (UPI) -- A new Lana del Rey song, "Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight," has leaked online.

The track appeared on SoundCloud earlier this week without context or further explanation. It is possible that the song will appear on the singer's new album, Ultraviolence, although sources say it's unlikely.

"Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight" highlights Del Rey's signature vocals, and is an upbeat song compared to tracks like "Born to Die" and "Video Games."

Few details are known about Ultraviolence, although the singer did tweet a photo of herself in February with Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach.

Del Rey admitted that work on a followup to her 2012 smash hit Born to Die (rereleased as Paradise) had proven difficult when she spoke to Nylon last October.

"When people ask me about it, I just have to be honest -- I really don't know," Del Rey said of Ultraviolence. "My muse is very fickle. She only comes to me sometimes, which is annoying."
