Justin Bieber close to plea deal in Miami DUI case

Justin Bieber might not be going to trial for his Miami DUI after all.

Sources close to the situation told TMZ that the Canadian pop star is close to reaching a plea deal with the prosecution in which he'll plead no contest to reckless driving, and his DUI, resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license charges will be dropped.

In February it was reported that Bieber had rejected a plea deal offered by the prosecution because of a clause in the probation terms that said he needed to submit to random drug testing for the following six to nine months. According to TMZ, the clause has been removed from the current deal.

Still, even if a deal is reached, the 20-year-old singer would be placed on probation, likely for one year.

News of the alleged deal comes three weeks after the "Boyfriend" singer was given a May 5 trial date for his Miami DUI case. Bieber was arrested in the Sunshine State on January 23 after authorities found him drag racing in a residential neighborhood in Miami.
