Jack White has released a new track, "High Ball Stepper," ahead of his upcoming album, Lazaretto.

Lazaretto will be the musician's second release as a solo artist. The word "lazaretto" or "lazaret" refers to a quarantine station for travelers who arrive in a country by sea. The name also references a "lazar house" or leper colony, named after the Biblical beggar Lazarus.

White released his first solo album, Blunderbuss, to critical acclaim in 2012. His new song, "High Ball Stepper," highlights the musician's guitar playing and includes brief piano interludes.

Lazaretto goes on sale June 10. Pre-orders for a limited edition copy of the album are available to those who sign up for White's Third Man Records Vault. The special version features blue-and-white-vinyl, a fold-out poster, and a bonus 40-page hardcover book with lyrics, musical notation and photos.
