Comedian Joan Rivers made her first appearance as a guest on The Tonight Show in 28 years Thursday and commemorated the event with a piercing in a delicate place.
Rivers might have made host Jimmy Fallon blush a little bit when she said she had to sit on an inflatable doughnut because she was in pain due to a new genital piercing.
But it sounds like the piercing may have just been a lead up to a joke."It's very special for me to be back," she said. "So my girlfriend and i decided we would get matching vagina rings … to celebrate the moment."
Rivers was a frequent guest on The Tonight Show when Johnny Carson hosted it, but she was banned from the show in 1986 when she started up her own, short-lived competing late-night show, the New York Times reported."Mine is killing me, but apparently, I spoke to Bruce Jenner and hers is fine," she said.
After Carson's death, Jay Leno said he would have been happy to have Rivers on the show, but it never happened.
