The Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are fighting a Twitter campaign dubbed #DelenaRainKiss that requests that their characters do another kissing scene in the rain.

While speaking at the PaleyFest panel for the CW series, Somerhalder said that he didn't think the scene "was such a good idea."

"First of all, it's really cold in Georgia, so I don't think that's such a good idea,” he explained. "It was below 30 degrees, and it got so cold the muscles in my jaw froze and I couldn't speak. I looked like I had Bell's palsy."

“I got icicles in my hair and I got really sick,” Debrev, who became ill after shooting the last kissing-in-the-rain scene, added.

The duo, who were once a real life couple, play Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore in the series. And while they've been able to remain co-workers and even friends after their 2013 breakup, another kiss under the rain would be a deal-breaker for Somerhalder.

"You write another rain kiss and I quit," he joked.
