Brittany Murphy's last film 'Something Wicked' gets release date

Murphy died of pneumonia, anemia and drug intoxication in 2009.

Brittany Murphy's last film Something Wicked will be released four years after the actress' death.

Something Wicked, a mystery thriller about a couple dealing with their shady past while planning their wedding, will premiere at at the Regal Valley River Center 15 in Eugene, Ore. on April 4. The location was chosen to honor the place where the film was shot back in 2009.

After the first week, the movie will premiere in Portland and Seattle with more theaters to come.

"The better we do in theaters, the more cities will be added so we need your help getting the word out, reads a post on the film's Facebook page. "Full press release to be posted shortly. Stay Wicked!"

Something Wicked also stars One Tree Hill's Shantel VanSanten and Pretty Little Liars' Julian Morris.

Murphy died of pneumonia, anemia and drug intoxication in 2009. She is best known for her roles in Clueless, Girl Interrupted, 8 Mile and for providing the voice of Gloria in Happy Feet.
