Nicole Scherzinger gets engaged to Lewis Hamilton

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton are getting married.

According to the IBTimes this is the fourth time the British Formula One racing driver has proposed to the former Pussycat Dolls singer, and the first time she accepted.

"Lewis is doing his best to keep the news under wraps but he is absolutely delighted. He got down on one knee and Nicole finally accepted," a source told the publication.

The insider added that the couple plans to "live together in Switzerland and travel together when Lewis is racing."

"This means her career will have to take a back seat for a while but she is ready to support him on the track," the source continued. "It is the ideal plan for the both of them and will hopefully lead to a big summer wedding in August when Lewis has a three-week break from his F1 schedule."

Scherzinger and Hamilton have been dating on and off since 2008. She was seen flying into London's Heathrow Airport Monday without a ring on her ring finger.

News of the engagement comes a month after it was reported that Scherzinger was leaving The X Factor UK as creator Simon Cowell returned to the show.
