Shailene Woodley does not care for 'Twilight's toxic love story

The "Divergent" star rips another popular YA series.

Twi-hards aren't quite as vocal as they used to be, but Shailene Woodley might have stirred the pot with her recent criticisms of the wildly popular vampire franchise.

The Divergent star recently told Teen Vogue that Twilight's human-vampire romance doesn't send the right message to its teen fans.

"Twilight, I'm sorry, is about a very unhealthy, toxic relationship," the 22-year-old actress said.

"She falls in love with this guy and the second he leaves her, her life is over and she's going to kill herself!" Woodley added, in reference to Bella Swan, who falls in love with old-fashioned vampire Edward Cullen. "What message are we sending to young people? That is not going to help this world evolve."

Divergent hits theaters March 21.
