Professional BFF collector Taylor Swift hit it off with Lorde last year -- even after the 17-year-old "Royals" singer called Swift "unattainable" -- and the two have since been seen shopping, eating and vacationing together.
Swift seems to have close friendships with every starlet under age 25, but Australian radio host Kyle Sandilands felt that Swift's particular relationship with Lorde merited a few creepy lesbian jokes.
"I see you guys’ pictures everywhere. Are you guys, uh, are you together now?” he asked during Lorde's appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show Monday.
"Not together as in lesbians," Sandilands said, when Lorde sat in stunned silence. "I'm not talking about 'Ellen together.' I'm talking about, like, you guys are friendly, right?"
"What do you mean you're not talking about 'Ellen together?' Is there something wrong with lesbians? Is that what you're trying to say?" Lorde hit back.
"Oh my god, no, I would love that. Are you going to confirm now that you're in a lesbian relationship with her?" he said.
"Don't even try it. It's not working," Lorde replied.
