Previously unreleased songs from Miles Davis will debut on a new four-disc collection, Miles at the Fillmore -- Miles Davis 1970: The Bootleg Series Vol. 3 March 25, and the track "Footprints" is now online ahead of its release. The celebrated jazz musician and trumpeter opened for singer-songwriter Laura Nyro at New York's Fillmore East for four nights in June 1970. The performances were recorded and released later that year on the two-record set, Miles Davis at Fillmore.

The previously released material represents just a fraction of the performances that took place in the four days at the venue. The new collection will feature Davis' unedited performances from the 1970 sets, and will include an additional 135 minutes of the musician's material.
The discs will also have a number of tracks from his earlier performances at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, and Speakeasy has debuted a recording of "Footprints" from an April 11 show.
The four discs in the new collection will cover one night each of Davis' four-night performance. The Fillmore West tracks will be added at the end of discs one and three. The set will also include a 32-page booklet of liner notes and an essay by reissue producer Michael Cuscuna. Cuscuna was a DJ on WPLJ-FM in New York in the late 1960s.
