LONDON, March 4 (UPI) -- Nigella Lawson will appear on the cover of April's British Vogue.
The 54-year-old chef and former Vogue food editor is well-known for her highly-polished and made-up look, but will appear on the cover in simple and minimal makeup.
Lawson spoke of the pressure she feels about her appearance in the interview, "I was terrified of being photographed without makeup and I hate having my looks talked up. It always makes me feel like I'm going to be a disappointment in the flesh."
The successful chef had a rough year in 2013. She and husband Charles Saatchi divorced shortly after pictures that showed Saatchi with his hand around Lawson's throat went public. The two had been married for almost ten years. Months later, Lawson admitted to cocaine and marijuana use during a trial against her former assistants for fraud.
Lawson has largely retained public support throughout her troubles, with many using the hashtag #TeamNigella on Twitter to show their support for the star. She currently serves as a judge and mentor alongside Anthony Bourdain on the reality cooking show The Taste.
The April issue of British Vogue will hit newsstands on March 10.
