Demi Lovato shaved part of her head [PHOTO]

LOS ANGELES, March 4 (UPI) -- Demi Lovato loves to change up her look -- from brunette to pink to blonde and back again. But the 21-year-old "Heart Attack" singer went for a slightly more dramatic look this time around.

She warned fans on Tuesday by sharing a photo of an electric razor and a severed lock of her pink hair.

So.... This happened...... Oops. #NEONLIGHTSTOUR "IDGAF," she captioned the next photo, in which the former Disney Channel star has shaved the left side of her head, while leaving the rest of her long locks in tact. ("IDGAF" is short for "I don't give a f***.)

Lovato's hair experimentation is nothing new. She told Allure in 2012 that she thinks it's "fun" to try new styles.

"I used to always want to dye my hair blue and purple and pink when I was younger. But I was busy trying to make it in the industry as an actress, and it was hard to go in for auditions with blue hair," she said. "And so when I heard of the dip-dye trend, I loved it, and I felt like I could finally dye my hair blue. You know you've made it when you can dye your hair blue."
