LOS ANGELES, March 3 (UPI) -- In an Oscars full of head-scratching moments, Kim Novak's appearance may have been the strangest.
The 81-year-old Vertigo actress presented the awards for Best Animated Film and Best Animated Short with Matthew McConaughey early in the night, and her stiff mien set Twitter off to its nastiest races.
Ignoring Jimmy Kimmel's warning not to throw stones from glass Internet houses, many tweets joked about the, uh, Frozen state of Novak's face as she announced the Disney hit had won.
Others lamented Hollywood's obsession with youth and how it drives aging actresses to go under the knife, while still others wondered if Novak's difficulty speaking and altered appearance stemmed from the nerve damage resulting from her 2006 horse riding accident.
Does Kim Novak know here face was not the "Frozen" that just won the Academy Award?

If we weren't obsessed w/ advertisers youth craze, Kim Novak may not have had the surgery everyone's tweeting about. It's OK to be 81.

For everyone making fun of Kim Novak, her walk was reminiscent of someone who has recently suffered a stroke.
